Get your tails movin...
"Are those lazy fish?" "No day not, mommy. Day reawy movin now!" He watched those "lazy fish" hardly move at all beneath the ice all winter long. A fistful of fish food brought on a flurry of orange flashing in the water and squeals of three year old delight! He's been waiting all winter for the fish pond at Grandma's B&B to thaw. Theres nothing like a fresh baggy of fish food to get their tails moving after a looong winter. If thats not happiness...

Calling all Seniors!
I'm enlisting the help of future seniors to find new clients. Theres free prints in it for anybody interested!! If you are currently a junior (or know of a junior) who might be interested in earning free prints by passing out marketing materials to your friends, around your school or sports teams, contact me and I'll let you in on the awesome referrals program I got cookin'.
Can you moo?
I just designed and ordered a set of Moo Stickers. So fun! =D I'll be adding those to my packaging (That is, if I can keep them out of the hands of my 3 and 6 year old sticker hoarders!)

Growing Pains
Templates, shopping carts, online proofing....Too many options. I'm still shopping around for websites. Can't wait to slap my logo on a fancy new site :) For now I am still using my website with shutterpixie (created by the amazing Paul Szynol). I am forever grateful to Paul for designing such an awesome place for photographers to showcase their work. Paul is incredibly talented and amazingly selfless - Shutterpixie is a FREE service (for the time being anyways...) It has been great to be a part of that from the beginning and watching Shutterpixie evolve. I know the future holds great things for Paul and all of his projects. Shutterpixie played a huge part in starting my business and, while I'm glad the business is growing so quickly, I'm sad to have outgrown it. The prospect of a new flash site with online proofing and a built in shopping cart is exciting but letting go of the old is hard to do.
I will continue to use my shutterpixie gallery for my personal work though it will likely have a new name...

The Big Blog Launch of '08
Here's to launching my blog! I've created this blog to eventually be a companion to my professional website. (which will hopefully soon be announced here...) This is a place to keep friends and clients updated on whats happening with the business, progress on projects and things I'm thinking about. So check in once and a while and see whats happening!

Since adding Senior portraits to my business, I've been busy restructuring packages and forms. Wow - what a can of worms I opened! Its all good though - my paperwork has been in need of a good shake up. Add that to the glitch in my DVD slide show software (still working on that issue - I'll keep those of you waiting for DVDs updated), uncooperative invoice software and the search for a new website design...I'm going to need to add an I.T. guy to the payroll :)
